ACC
If you have an accepted valid ACC claim number you can use this to cover a portion of your treatment costs for your injury.
The surcharge is the portion of the treatment cost that ACC does not cover.
Important information
Acupuncturists are treatment providers to ACC: this means acupuncturists can only provide treatment and we cannot provide you with a new ACC number.
If you have had an injury, the claim will need to be obtained via a GP, Physio, Osteopath or Chiropractor etc.
Good news though - once the ACC claim number has been received you can make your booking; a referral is not required.
What does an accepted - valid ACC claim number mean?
This is the number or code that will be given to you in your messages or letters from ACC which shows that your injury occurred within the accepted ACC policy.
A valid claim means that it is still within the first year/12months of receiving the claim. If your claim is not accepted you may have to pay for the additional part of the treatment fee that the surcharge did not cover.
Please enquire if you need further information.
Changes made on 15th December 2021 by ACC:

There is a cap of 12 treatments within the 12 weeks.

you can register your injury and
